Pages
Pages are for the majority of content. Use the Page Attributes to specify the pages’ template. Custom templates are setup for certain pages ie. Retreats. Some pages have a large ‘hero’ or header image. This image is edited in the Featured Image section. The default template is suitable for most pages. When a new page is created and published it is not reachable until it has been included in the navigation. See the Navigation section for more info.
Blog & Posts
Adding a new blog post is done in the Posts area. The featured image and Excerpt section are used to control how the post appears on the main blog feed (shantiuganda.org/blog). Remember to add or create each posts category. Try to not to create too many or duplicate categories. To disallow commenting on a post click the Screen Options drop down and the top of the window and select the Discussion checkbox. Then below the text feild uncheck the Allow Comments checkbox. The Askimet plugin handles spam commenting and is configured to automatically delete spam comments.
Menus & Navigation
The Navigation area controls what links are displayed in the menus. (Appearance > Menus). The site uses several menus and sub-menus. Use the Menu dropdown to select which menu you would like to edit. Add pages and drag/drop them into the location.
Home Page
Hero Slider
The Homepage Hero Slider is editable in the widget area (Appearance > Widgets) in the Hero Slider area. Drag/Drop the Advanced Image Slider Widget or Image Widget (for sliders with no text) into the Hero Slider.
Home Page Settings
To edit other content edit the Home page itself. Custom fields are are available for Accomplishment Numbers, Middle Image Banner and the Programs sections.
Widgets
Aside from controlling the homepage slider the widgets area also controls the Sidebar seen in the blog

Who We Are / Staff & Team Members
The Staff Members Section is used to manage the content of the Who We Are page. The Order area is where the order of members can be altered. Drag and drop users is the the preferred order.
