Sekajja Kato

Kato grew up in Bukuma village, and has 3 children. He began work with Shanti Uganda in December of 2009 making bricks for the construction of the Maternity Centre.

Kato worked with Shanti Uganda throughout the construction process and helped bring water on the back of a bike to the site before the water tank was complete. Kato enjoys farming and has used the money he has made from Shanti Uganda to pay for his children’s school fees. In 2017 Kato completed a 2 week permaculture design course and has been sharing his knowledge by hosting Agricultural Workshops with Shanti.

He can be found working in our gardens, keeping our vegetable and herb garden flourishing and showing visitors around the area.
